Greeted by grey skies
Whispers of rain on the wind
Noise of life: awake
Author: Carl Setzer
This Evening
Nightfall has arrived
The end of this perfect day
Sunlight shifting to rain
At the beach
Memorial Day Meditation 2
As I remember
Those lights stolen by our wars
Praying that we’ve learned
A Memorial Day Haiku
In Flanders fields
Amidst poppies and lark song
Lie our lost lessons
Ignorance
The past holds much wisdom
Ignoring it has grave risks
Ignorance delights
Daily Prompt – Radiate
Oh, children!
How they radiate
Joy and wonder
Which the world
Eats with raging
Gluttony
Sipping misery’s tears
Commenting on the bouque
Submitted for the Daily Prompt – Radiate
Struggles
sad how often
I struggle
seeking what’s
in my
heart
Music, Sweet Music
I sit, listening
My negativity fades
Bird song in sunlight
Parenting Frustrations
Clothes,
Simply…
Just clothes
Arguments burst forth
And I cant….
Children fighting
Like this thing
Defends innocent
Lives
No willingness to
Give, to attempt
Anything outside
The preconceived
“I won’t find
ANYTHING” in this
Place I’ve not yet
Seen.
Frustrated at my
Failure…
No understanding or
Trusting in my
Experience
All I’ve done
All I am;
Worthless
I am tired
