This is my response to a haiku challenge on Twitter. This photo was taken on my Samsung S9 earlier this month but in weather similar to today’s (here in Seattle, at least).
within the sunlight
drifting through the mists and firs
life under the trees
Today’s Word of the Day challenge features “postponing”. With the Bomb Cyclone bearing down on the western states, rain and wind are on my mind. Anyway, without any further ado, here’s my haiku contribution.
tonight's wind delayed postponed by the twists of space momentarily
flowers in autumn
within the flowing mists
such tenacity
reddening leaves a gentle autumn breeze the motion of life
