sunlight's graceful arc
walking through the golden dusk
with the air cooling
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

sunlight's graceful arc
walking through the golden dusk
with the air cooling

sunlight through the trees
embracing the waning summer
nearby, children play

sunlight descending
cool air drifting past the shore
slowly summer fades

fed by the sunlight
air cooled by the nearby sea
summer drifting by

summertime waning
nights slowly growing longer
yet days remain warm
So, apparently today is my 16th anniversary on WordPress! I’ll take this as a sign to get back to work over here.
My summer has been busy. You can read more about that over on my other blog, http://www.carlsetzer.com.

as the sun rises
emboldened the colors
joy within my tea

within summer's light
something catches my eye
bees upon petals

in this sunlit field
petals gracefully reaching
towards the birdsong
early morning
awaiting dawn's grace
time for some tea
