Rain falls in this town
The most regular event
And still we can’t drive
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.
Rain falls in this town
The most regular event
And still we can’t drive
While I was driving
Upon a bronze lion: birds
Strange absurdities
Morning moves forward
Dawn’s transition fades to light
Life, again, renewed
At times it’s sought out
Others, it’s served up for us
Beauty’s worth finding
Wind across mountains
Dancing across rocks and mud
My wheels delighting
