this cold afternoon
sunlight flowing through the trees
winter's mists absent
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

this cold afternoon
sunlight flowing through the trees
winter's mists absent

my finger's numbness
moments deep within winter
sunlight peeks through clouds

after the snowfall
leaves laden with memories
forgotten voices

winter snowfall
crows chattering
upon the silence

under the blue sky
embracing this coldest air
soon the rain returns

as the sun descends
these trees caressed by the snow
silent birds pass

December sunlight
the grace of the winter sky
deep within my soul

underneath the snow
so much of life is asleep
dreaming about spring

this break in the rain
raindrops bead upon petals
winter arrives soon

cold autumnal rain
sunlight returned joyfully
memories at night
I was able to fit a walk in between rain and wind. Found this lovely bundle of resistance peeking through the shrubs.
