I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.
Underneath the Rain
underneath the rain
leaves glistening like jewels
as the sunlight fades
Christmas Cactus
within my office sunlight warming the cactus it embraces joy
Late autumn leaves
these late autumn leaves
remain affixed to the trees
another window storm
Tickle in my throat
tickle in my throat
as coughing then commences
autumnal viri
As the rain’s falling
as the rain's falling
branches sway in the breeze
after the sunset
Under the street light

with the gently falling rain
sipping my coffee
as the snow lingers
as the snow lingers sunlight hides behind the firs and western mountains
Sunset fades

quiet befalls snowy trees
quite soon dawn arrives
