Early morning haiku

pre-dawn darkness 
my heart is louder 
than my mind

walking through this park
with a gentle rain falling
filtered sunlight's grace

within this silence 
listening to the rainfall 
peace before the dawn

cloudy morn
chatter from the crows
collaboration

memories of dusk
treetops hidden by the night 
silent memories

the rose does not 
compare its beauty 
to the daffodil

just a few dark clouds 
a rain squall abruptly forms
soon the sun returns

darkness descending
covering faded blossoms 
so ephemeral

a moment of rain
then the sun bursts forth
what does the future hold?

wonders of springtime
flowers within the sunlight
birdsong fills the air
