My interest in photography started back in elementary school, and I studied continuously through high-school. The shift from analog/film to digital changed so very much, yet so much remains the same.
in the early morn as the sun's slowly climbing above smoke-filled skies
Today’s Word of the Day Challenge features “Early”, which I discovered via Woolly Muses’ response. The accompanying photo is one I took this morning. It doesn’t do justice to the red skies this morning. Quite beautiful, even though they’re caused by the smoke.
summer receding
longing for this smokey haze
to fade in the rain
as the petals fall
upon the reddening leaves
life returns earthwards
dawn's grace arising dancing across the petals while the crows calling
Here’s my contribution to today’s Word of the Day challenge. Today’s word is “early”. Early speaks to me of dawn, of new beginnings, of opportunities.
through the autumn smoke
memories of cool fall air
and longing for rain
walking in sunlight
warmth remains in autumn's air
the rains will soon come
sunlight drifting
downwards upon my skin
yet the leaves redden
the joys of sunlight
graceful clouds within blueness
seagulls cry calming
an afternoon pause
in sunlight along the shore
the joy of flowers
reddening leaves
boldly green just yesterday
crisp, cold air arrives
