Love is not domination

Love is free from fear
Force and control is not love
Important, this is

I need to answer
How much am I willing to
Let work dominate

Social memory
History’s ghostly echos
Silently speaking

And now Friday eve
A week traveling too fast;
Buzzing brain waves glow

Lost within the now
Tyranny of the urgent
No future in sight

Upon air I fly
Drifting lightly, clouds below
Light flows into night

This one came from my notes. Written in 2010, but not about air travel.

At dawn’s light, birdsong
Clamoring boisterously,
Spring-time awakens

Flowing gracefully
Lovely delights upon bread
Peanut butter rocks!

Life is resistance
Often reflexively done
Freedom’s cry is loud.

Despairing of youth
Lamenting lost old ways
Habits of the old
