I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.
Girls in my life
Does she see herself
Gifted, talented and bright?
We tear our girls down.
Waiting
Sit, waiting for God,
Grasping tranquility’s joy.
Peacefulness transcends.
Rage
Rage needs a tight leash
If we have any hope for
Pointing out towards good
Brutality’s Dream
The world existing
Entrenched brutality deep
Sunlight clears the fog
Winter Sun
Cold sunlight flowing
Burning deeply to my core
Freeing from despair
Change is upon us
Darkness hints at cold
Wintertime’s whispered approach
Dew drops now frozen
Living
Living is movement,
An obscured destinationÂ
Lights within darkness
Emptiness of cynicism
Cynicism’s dead
Devoid of joyous dreaming
Vanishes like mist
For Hope
One cannot exist
Upon the empty promise
Of cynicism
