gigantic lilies
at the edge of the sidewalk
bathing in sunlight
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

gigantic lilies
at the edge of the sidewalk
bathing in sunlight
dawn drifts through the trees
gently rousing the songbirds
early morning dew
under the sunrise
listening to birdsong
through the fog

rain passed by
sun moves through the clouds
vigor of the bees
birds greeting the morn
becoming more boisterous
as the light moves west
This is my response to today’s Twitter haiku challenge.

walking through the woods
sunlight's joy reaching downwards
recharging my soul

under the sunlight
moving gently with the clouds
connecting with the birds

these giant tulips
petals beginning to fall
springtime keeps moving
