Sometimes rest is hard
Eyes glued to this tiny screen
Turn the device off!
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.
Bird Song filled the air
After dawn’s light hit the sky
They scattered: airborne
Can’t forget
What has passed
Some may wish these
Memories to vanish
For me? No…
I hold them dear
Pain and joy
For that’s
Love’s legacy
Immortality
This, driving human dreamers
The ultimate fear

Clouds are moving in
Yet the sunlight still remains
Outdoors we must go
On this Palm Sunday
Focused on brutality
Humans’ love of rage
