I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.
Seattle’s Wind Storm
The wind is singing
Fiercely calling in the dark
Beast untameable
Storm clouds approaching
Storm clouds coalescing
Blue, grey blend into darkness
Change’s doom comes forth
An evening haiku
Night is falling fast
Darkness magnifies the lights
Points of sheer brilliance

The poet pointing the way
To finding ourselves
A modern song
A song most modern
Playing upon copper pathways
Dancing within the glass
A haiku on a rainy Monday evening
Words fluttering past
Red, orange upon wind
Gentle rains falling
The call of the night
Comes earlier than before
Autumn moves forward

Was anything accomplished?
Were any minds changed?
Facing Fear
Seek understanding
