Snoozing Through Winter

Awakening

snoozing through winter
slowly awakening
morning’s gentle rain

Today’s “Word of the Day Challenge” is Snooze. These words came while watching rhododendron blooms slowly come to life this week.

Moment of Sunlight

Spring moments

moment of sunlight
gentle breeze against the sky
now the calm of night

I took this photo while trying to capture a bee dancing vigorously between the blooms. She was much too fast for my photo, sadly. Yet it was a lovely moment.

Blossoms Fading

fallen petals

springtime passing by
now branches filling with leaves
blossom petals shed

I’m noticing the cherry blossoms, oh so recently bursting forth, starting to fall. It is one their beauties, their fragility, their temporary presence. Emergence to vanished is such a short window.

Daffodils

the daffodilโ€™s gaze

loving glance in the spring sun

a gentle breeze blows

Springtime’s Glories

springtime’s glories
sunlight moves through the petals
wary of the breeze

Haiku Response to the FOWC: Disparage

Haiku 4-4-21

who can disparage
the windโ€™s grace within the sky
birdโ€™s dance on the wing

This is my response to the Fandango Word Of The Day Challenge: “disparage”. One of my photos taken earlier this week, image edited in Adobe Spark, font Lora Regular.
