Retreating darkness
Light now slowly reclaiming
Losses of winter.

Barren
You rage against me
Simply because I exist.
Windswept barren sand.
Within the heart
Strange torturous song
Delight, anguish born anew
Without it we die.
Girl’s Life
Girls spendĀ
Much time
Debating their lack,
Chewing their soul
With vigor.
Always some fault,
This culture determinedĀ
To keep their place
Defining them
By false
Inadequacy.
I feel love
I desire my life
Overflowing everywhere
Centered upon love
Evening
Upon evening’s curves
Attention drifts longingly
Over her dark eyes
Winter
Cold wetness seeps in.Ā
Clothing’s heaviness intense.Ā
Seattle’s winter.
Being Human
Funny humans,
The only part of this
Universe that flails
And rages, expecting
Full control of this
Immensity.
Meditation on Greatness
One cannot achieve greatnessĀ
Adhering to the status quo.Ā Ā
Mediocrity, numbing theĀ
Quiet desperation, driftingĀ
Through life barely createsĀ
Fertilizer for poppies.
Night’s Comforts
In the night’s darkness
Sometimes I find strange comfort
Peace through self knowledge.
