Leaves in the sunlight

the grace of sunlight
gently passing through the clouds
standing on moist earth

Saw this on today’s walk. I don’t know this tree, though. Do you?

cold autumnal rain
with intermittent blue skies
alone with my thoughts

upwards through the leaves
lazy clouds oblivious 
air cooling my face

Raindrops on Petals

a break in the rain
sunlight creeps out from the clouds
the moment passes

Took this photo earlier this week. Lately, I’ve loved the effect of raindrops on leaves and petals. I hope you do, too.

walking through the rain
a momentary pause
glistening jewels

Quite a bit of rain today. Normal stuff for a Seattle November. I spent most of it indoors. I enjoy the sound and scent of rain.

through the wind and rain
maple leaves and fir needles
sigh upon the ground

leaves drifting
on a gentle breeze
inevitibility

through the autumn chill 
light drifting through clouds and leaves
glistening off rain

on these quiet streets
the breeze gently moves the leaves
waiting for the rain

a break in the rain
sunlight hides behind the clouds
the cool autumn air
