hints of spring are erupting 
this cold winter's day

underneath the clouds
cool rain gently descending 
slowly the light fades

drifting through the mists
while the rain remains gentle
winter progresses

walking through the trees 
sunlight hidden by the mists
memories of rain

dreaming of moonlight  
rain's gentle rooftop tapping 
quiet before dawn

the grace of sunlight 
flowing through the evergreens
memories of rain

with the rain falling
gently from darkening skies
jewels within my mind

walking in the rain
memories of icy winds
glories of wool coats

sun upon the clouds 
skies clearing after the rain
brief moments of joy
