Spring Flower

beneath the sunlight
as raindrops fade into mists 
the songbirds cheer me

as I look skyward
memories of sunlight glow
this gentle spring breeze

as dawn advances 
across the cold morning air 
dancing through the waves

entering springtime
moments of new life growing
the motion of time

in this darkened sky
dominated by the murk
and the rushing clouds

the grace of springtime 
moving against the cold air 
gentle morning rain

on my window sill
this flower's joyful visage 
enjoying the sunlight

seeing time passing 
upon the broken pavement
grace of spring's sunlight

glories of springtime 
graceful motion on the trees
walking in silence

under the spring sky
my light jacket a bit much 
kindness of sunlight
