Springtime Approaches

walking in sunlight
enjoying the new found warmth 
springtime approaches

brisk winter air 
sunlight through darkening clouds 
colors reaching back

in winter's sunlight
bubbles drift upon the breeze
harbingers of spring

though the air's still cold
the days are growing longer
hints of spring arise

upon the roadside
waiting for the bees to come
embracing sunlight

underneath the trees
sunlight and clouds dance above
feet upon the earth

kissed by the sunlight
dancing upon the spring breeze
the arc of petals

snoozing through winter
slowly awakening
morning’s gentle rain

Today’s “Word of the Day Challenge” is Snooze. These words came while watching rhododendron blooms slowly come to life this week.

blessings on the wind
