sunlight in the cold
bitter frost upon the grass
the grace of my coat
It’s been a cold couple of days here on the PNW. Looks like it’s been quite cold (brutal?) throughout a lot of the US. I’ve had the additional annoyance of fighting a nasty and belligerent cold. The remaining symptom: coughing. I’ve had to reschedule one dentist appointment, and that looks like it’ll become two. Sigh…
I hope 2025 has been kinder to you.
winter moves forward
cold air underneath the clouds
this infectious gloom
within winter's depths
and sunlight's power reduced
life resists the gloom
clouds vibrant motion
brushing against the full moon
storms pass at nightfall
walking near the shore
under the autumnal dusk
glorious colors
winter moves forward
gently, gently towards the spring
already hints abound
Went for a walk this afternoon and saw this bud on a tree. Seems a bit premature, but trees are not logic based creatures.
under sunlight's grace
I've left my coat in the car
though it's still winter
in this gentle rain
hints of spring are erupting
this cold winter's day
in front of the rain
moving across the water
enjoying the sunlight
