I do love to write
In the middle of the night
Words of poetry and rhyme.
When those words run dry
So nervous I almost cry
Fearing this is for all time.

Darkness
Upon the mind’s edge
The abyss makes some afraid.
Possibilities
Solitude
Solitude for some
Pit of miserable pain.
Not so much with me.
Summer’s Day
Current flows outwards
Leisurely floating calmly
Gentle sunlight beams.
Far away gaze
I stand upon the edge of light,
Staring far off, into dreams.
Feather-like flutters upon mists
Flowing into life’s reservoirs.
Darkness lapping upon my heel,
My sole. Vacantly lost in thought,
Drifting along the song’s pacing,
I disappear, finding my heart.
Moments drifting now
Lips commanding attention
The soul is singingÂ
Love’s complexity
Love’s complexity
Rich and varied in meaning
Confusing feelings.
Fleeing righteousness
Drifting upon a hot summer’s wind
Burning mercilessly, magnifying the
Suffering of the maligned and neglected
Wretched retribution by the raging
Self-righteous. Indignant about any
Perceived attitude of equity.
Sunlight fades, colored bursting glow.
Never to eek out more than a breath
Of my imagination. Slightly glorious
Fading into night’s uniformity.
Views upon belovedness
Strange word, love.Â
Which means so very much,
Blend of similar emotions.
Â
Often born out of lust,
That short term burst,
Energy, focus, easy flow,
From delight to boredom.Â
At times I wonder the themesÂ
Of those transitions from lust
To love. Where the dream passes
From self gratification to delightÂ
In that other, the beloved’s joy
More glorious than sunlight.Â
Life giving, freeing, beyondÂ
Emptiness. Perfection. Â
