Eyes turn as one,
Moving gaze upon
Wretched scenes of
Mammoth misery.
Our breathes gasp
Together, at once,
Gathered as one
Into a collective
Expression of horror.

My sadness filled days,
Floating gently away now
I’m blessed with good friends
Daring to connect
To talk, touch, love.
Riding the embrace
Of human connection.
Perhaps feel humiliation’s
Terrible burn, of hearts
Betrayed, of confidences
Flung open into the wide
Abyss of public view.
Cruelty amassed.
Fearlessly facing such,
Diving headfirst into dark
Mist must seem mad
Yet, it’s the realm of vulnerability
Where real love becomes
Manifest.
Dreams burn into dust
Smoke and destruction raging
Into the nothing
Violence calling loud
Seemingly an easy path
Destruction’s curse.
Words, half phrases
Incomplete sentences
Burped out notions
Quick then gone
This random way
My mind works
Or at least operates
Flowing ideas
Collide upon themselves
In a helter-skelter
Maddening prattle
Skin cooked stealthily.
Yet sometimes the joy of sunlight
Warms hearts joyously.
Evening Falls
Drifting upon
Lingering dreams.
Plans of youth
Embraced completely
Never have escaping
A firm, steady
Committed grasp.
Eyelids drop downward.Â
Gravity’s mammoth powerÂ
Wins, against focus.
Seduced, curving flesh,
Muscle sinew, bones and skin
Lust birthed from an arc.
