within the evening
leaves abruptly yellowing
then drifting earthwards
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

within the evening
leaves abruptly yellowing
then drifting earthwards

as the sun descends
the firey glow through the trees
warming my soul's depths

berries in the sky
crows waiting for me to leave
to begin their snack

cold wintery air
walking over sunlit sand
freedom from the wind

I'm glancing eastward
as the evening progresses
biting autumn air
just a few doors down
ambulance's flashing lights
early morning prayers

gazing at the dusk
light dances upon the clouds
awaiting night's grace
