Oh diversity;
Respecting our different
Experiences
poetry, prose, and photography

Oh diversity;
Respecting our different
Experiences
Release expectations
Follow the sun in daylight
And stars at night
Listen for home’s sensation
When your heart is right
Snooze bar seduction
No, not due to laziness
Rather, contentment
“Lost weight? Looking good!”
“Cancer will do that to you”.
Then awkward silence.
I am pulled from sleep
Insecurities fight me
Destroy happiness
The sunburned stars Destroyed by the daylight Longing for night’s reprieve
Release expectation
Follow the sun in daylight
And stars at night
Listen for home’s sensation
When your heart is right
My childhood spent drifting, wandering the world. Eventually, home became this deep expectation, originally unwelcome. The beauty of the world intrigued me so. Now, living near my parents, and where grandparents spent their whole lives, there’s a rich connection. one whose beauty caught me off guard.
We are made in God’s image
Glorious bits of star stuff
Pieces of the cosmos

This little market
Speaking to me of summer
Gentle memories
