An Ode To Nightfall
Daylight has faded
The dark’s comfort arises
Tranquility comes
Gasping for air
Gasping for more air
Tears now descending my face
Friend’s delightful wit
So, it’s Monday
So starts a new week
So very much potential
So, what will you do?
Freedom from Pain
There’s only one way
For death’s sting to be vanquished
You must avoid love
The dialog of invective
I refuse
This dialog
Of invective;
Demeaning
And
Devaluing
Each other
For I believe
In community;
Society:
It’s what
Enables
Humanity
To thrive;
To survive
Visions of The Reaper?
I thought I saw
The Great Reaper
But was unsure
Was that a scythe,
Or an umbrella?
