a crane fly’s motion
under the bathroom lights
returned to freedom
poetry, prose, and photography
the praying mantis
facing down murder hornets
an ominous name
sparrow’s motion
light, agile upon sunbeams
mountains snore
clouds grasping stones
visages hidden with grace
the movement of light
āCrow conversation
Their frustration manifest
Discussing murder
āMy mind playing Iz*
A song I know
But whose name
Escapes me
Gentle and peaceful
Bringing me rest
And contentment
*If you aren’t familiar with the musician Iz, he was Israel KaŹ»anoŹ»i KamakawiwoŹ»ole. Learn more about him here. He’s long been high in my list of favorite musicians.
Yes, I am awake
And the birds sing with vigor
Dawn has not yet come
I’m amazed at the number of birds singing right now. Well, I think one of the loudest sounds is an insect, but I digress. It’s quite boisterous. Oddly, as daylight comes their sounds will quiet. Perhaps just supplanted by human noise. Perhaps.
