Clouds and rain common
Clear skies bring frantic effort
Victims of sunlight
poetry, prose, and photography
Clouds and rain common
Clear skies bring frantic effort
Victims of sunlight
These moments
My awakened fears
Facing them
Calms me
And I
Return
To slumber
I deeply wish that I should say
As it’s so important on this day
So I’d say it loudly from a truck
I’d even say it with a duck
I’d say it, truly, on the street
I’d say it quietly, even sweet
Boldly say it from the roof
Or at a cafe, like a goof
He’s important, so I”ll let it loose
Happy Birthday, Dr. Suess
By far too quiet
Emotions raw and painful
Empty bed: anguish
Every time
I hear Iz sing
“Over The Rainbow”
I’m filled
With delight
And quiet
Sadness
Perhaps
The quick
kind
word
Can save
a life
Or a
soul
I am my brother’s keeper
Or, at least, so I try
Though difficult
Deeply worthwhile
