Awoke to bird song.
Emotions flittering past
This morning’s blessing.

Enlightenment’s Mercies
Metal descends
Hissing loudly
Linear flow
Impacting bone
Nerves, spine
Seperated from
Itself. These
Strange acts
Of brutal
Mercy.
Raging Words
Ugliness flowing
Brutal words’ graceless crushing
The delights of rage
Facing Madness
Such strange wanderings
Feet trampling earth’s corners
Journey’s stretching forth.
Suburban Steps
Weariness grabs my soul
Dragging eyes downwards
Below my stride, footsteps
Striking quietly upon
Concrete, stone, pedestrian
Elements of suburban life.
Dusk
Sunlight flows downwards
Colors washing mountainsides
Red domination.
Possibilities
I cannot explain
The depths of my heart
Nor can anyone clearly.
Perhaps that’s
What’s meant by
“We’re alone”.
Yet, when we go
Deeper than words
Touching souls becomes
Possible.
Threadbare
We’re worn thin
Drifting through miles
Of mediocrity.
Gurgling though such
I found myself resting.
Riding upon the camel
Of my dreams.
Vertigo
Though I remain still
My sense of motion remains.
Body’s cruelty.
