My arsenal: immense.
Words, written and spoken,
Mightier than swords
And, perhaps, other weaponry.
A verbal quiver; a thing
Of might!

Fireworks
Clouds flickering bright
For a moment, each color
Too fast for dreaming.
Lighting Upon My Gaze
Light flickers
Dancing upon lidded eyes.
Glowing life filters through,
Specifics blurred to dreams.
Hints of reality loiter
Carried upon tone and echo.
Demanding call of vacant
Ringing. Summers and friends
Long vanished.
Dusty eddies carry off
All hints of their
Existence.
Modern Life
Tunneling in to this thing called life.
Puzzling singularly of activity and focus.
Dreams fade as fast as old friends.
Birthing the regrets of calm reflection.
Nighttime Gaze
Facing starry night
Feeling dreams unfolding, lights,
Gently blowing winds.
Unilateral,
These choices, by their nature
Are unjust. Power.
Wisdom
I seek wisdom.
Crave it, perhaps.
This longing to understand.
Freed from repeating
The past’s miseries.
Slumber’s Unanswered Call
A strange night,
Again awake when I wish to be asleep.
Slumber ignores my humble call
Blindly ignoring both my needs and concerns.
This lack of weariness annoys.
This rationale mind knows,
Knows the exhaustion coming.
Tomorrow’s sunrise.
Dread stares into my eyes,
Unblinking.
Strange sunlight drifts downward
Forcing it’s way through clouds
Blurring, blunting the force
Yet the strength remains.
Burning, passionately,
Reddening that which it
Desires. Gentle appearance
Hiding so much destruction.
