A Haiku Near A Bookstore

within this metal
this writer’s soul delighted
festive tinsel’s song

Coffee Haiku, Bellingham, WA

sitting, pen in hand
crafting poems while it rains
glorious coffee

Today’s Haiku

sunlight descending
inevitable motion
joyful memories

This Summer’s Morning

Awoke by the rooster’s call

Train horn echoing miles to me

White noise from cars

Hurtling down the freeway

Birds speaking much as they have

For millennia uncounted

A look into the boundaries

Of infinity

Raven’s Gaze

And raven spies me

This face gazing from the stone

An ancient presence

A Haiku for Cicero

My dear Cicero
The glorious written word
Delights my soul, too

Seen outside Bellingham’s Village Books.
