Walking past this church
Light searing into the sky
Quiet song of nights
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

Autumn’s gentle days
As the year creeps towards it’s end
The sunlight’s lower

Looking to the sky
As I’ve returned, again, home
Calmness with the dark
On Port Townsend’s streets
Walking on the waterfront
Coffee in the rain

O

Our lives are motion
There is beauty in action
The drumming rainfall
Wishing you a restful night.

I love the quiet
As I’m walking in the night
Alone with my mind
I love my evening walks. I get to clear my mind, as well as a liile exercise.

Nearly mid-autumn
Flowers keeping up the fight
Summer’s grip remains

Speed is subjective
A blistering pace to you
Is not for others
I found this snail on the side of the road. This photo delighted me deeply.

Some thoughts on the night. Love the colors of this night’s sky. How satisfied were you with the day now past?
