light trickles through blinds
dawn’s handiwork is complete
charm of backlit trees
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.
light trickles through blinds
dawn’s handiwork is complete
charm of backlit trees
This morning burns bright
Sheltered from it at my desk
A breeze blows gently
And now we are free
Embrace it with great reverence
Birds flit between trees
I hate depression
It crushes us from within
With its brutal lies
Daylight moves westwards
Yet the sun up quite high
The birds are still bold
You can’t get win-win
By being driven by your fears
Only love drives this
