Under The Sunlight

under the sunlight 
moving gently with the clouds 
connecting with the birds

woken by birdsong 
watching the sun move westward
cherry blossoms fall

Cherry blossoms, spring, life’s returning vibrancy. This rebirth after winter’s cold dormancy. Beautiful moments that quickly fade to memory.

under the spring sun 
with the rain stopping briefly 
my sweater warms me

amidst the sunlight
bold colors singing their song
as I walk forwards

walking through the warmth
sunlight dancing on the clouds
as the blossoms grow

petals on the ground 
as clouds move across the sky 
another sunrise

bee within petals 
amidst the fresh rains droplets 
as the sunlight fades

relentless clouds
rains continues through daylight
and into the night

with a single puff
sunlight flickers on my dreams 
drifting down my breath

these giant tulips
petals beginning to fall 
springtime keeps moving
