Today’s Haiku: February 28, 2020

sparrow’s motion
light, agile upon sunbeams
mountains snore

Cloud Covered Mountains

clouds grasping stones

visages hidden with grace

the movement of light

Friday Morning Haiku

dawn creeping upwards

red and orange fingerprints

on eastern mountains

A Haiku On The Sky’s Edge

upon the sky’s edge
this crisply clean dry fresh air
my soul’s clarity

The bees grab my eye
After a few-hours’ hike
A summertime view

Reading Gary Snyder

The morning quiet

I’m reading Gary Snyder

His words speak to me

My journey overlaps his

Mountains, rivers without end

Snyder’s has long been amongst my favorites. My personal overlap with his life a big part of that. My journeys through the Pacific Northwest, through Oregon, California; life and an eclectic array of work all make me feel a spirit connection.

Riding down the mountain

Wind across mountains

Dancing across rocks and mud

My wheels delighting

Sunday Evening Haiku

Light across mountains
Flaming fingers upon snow
Vanquishing daylight

A Sunday Meditation: Frustration

image

Frustrations pounding
Cruely dissecting my faults
Mountain air saves me

Mountain Dawn

Flowing over mountain tops
White peaks reddening, slowly.
Colors’ vibrancy lightens
Each passing second
Until all hues fade to
Blue sky and perfect
White snow
