A haiku from this evening’s walk

trees not quite bare
murky fragrance delights
cool air calms

A view from my evening walk. I opted, from my choices for exercise, to walk. I needed to clear the buzzing from my mind. Which always feels worthwhile.

Memories

Down from my window

Thousands of lights, lives

Alone before sleep

Remembering nights alone in my apartment looking out over the city. Not an elegant view, but I y think Kerouac should’ve been comfortable.

Morning Haiku, October 27, 2019

The morning quiet

I am awaiting the dawn

Brisk autumnal air

Here in Seattle autumn’s fully present. Leaves blow around. Rake’s efforts needed. The time for sweaters, jackets and scarves arrived. A happy time for me.

A Coffee Haiku For Your Sunday

A coffee haiku for your Sunday morning

The grace of mornings
Facilitate my heartbeat
Glorious, warm darkness

May your day be blessed indeed.

A Seahawks Haiku

Fans with explosives
The Seahawks have a new win
Evening distortions

Tonight’s haiku is inspired by my neighbors who are loudly celebrating the Seahawks win.

A Seattle Autumn: A Haiku

As I look skyward

The memories fill my mind

Seattle’s autumns

A #Haiku about #traffic

The night is waning

Light slowly filters through clouds

Steel now starts flowing

Happy Thursday everyone! Or, shall I say, Friday-eve.

Thinking about flinging myself into the jaws of grinding steel and plastic that’s Seattle during rush hour.

Autumn’s Approach: Tonight’s #Haiku

With summer’s end here
And the rain’s song calming me
I now seen brown leaves

The past few days have truly felt like autumn. Rainfall, in particular, reinforces that for me. I hold many cold and soggy memories, for that is the lot of Seattle folk.
