Always in a Rush

Always in a Rush, a Haiku

always in a rush –
sunlight drifts across the trees
raindrops upon roofs

Wrote this one early this morning as part of Baffled’s Haiku Challenge (on Twitter). I appreciate his daily challenges, forcing me to stretch my mind. Also, these haiku are a great way to keep my Adobe skills sharp. I create most of my posts right now with Adobe Spark.

Today’s desire: capture the feeling of a cold, dark, winter’s morning in Seattle. Today was dreary and damp, hence the focus. I opted for the Playfair font. A unique font, with understated serifs.

Walking at Night: a Haiku

feet upon pavement
headlights move through the darkness
facelessly pass by

Walking last night, stepping over and around puddles, remembering so many other nights. An element of this Seattle life.

Walking in the Rain

Moving through the leaves
As the rain begins to fall
These autumnal strolls

Though I got drenched, I did get a poem out of it.

A rainy Monday Morning

Rainy Monday morning haiku

Morning arrives
Sunlight ascending
Through autumn mists

An Autumn Sunday Morning

autumnal daylight
crisp, cool air awakens me
I reach for my tea

I woke to a lovely autumn morning. The rain holding off until a convenient time opens up possibilities. Yet, I expect to spend most of the day in front of a computer.

Friday Evening

The sun descending
Western mountains afire
Reaching for my dreams

It’s been a frenetic week, but productively so.

Wednesday Morning

dawn moves through the clouds
hope ripples through the puddles
tea’s steam awakens

A Seattle autumn morning, rainy and cool. Strange senses of home.

A Wednesday Morning Meditation

what does the sun risk

climbing up eastern mountains

quiet autumn morn

Is a rather cool autumn morning just north of Seattle. Grey skies filtering sunlight. For me, this is peaceful and calm.

How is you Wednesday shaping up?
