Blanket to my chin
Arms tucked underneath
I resist motion
Thinking of the fresh snow
poetry, prose, and photography
Blanket to my chin
Arms tucked underneath
I resist motion
Thinking of the fresh snow

This early morning
Branches burdened with coldness
Hints of the day’s light

morning silence
tranquility sings
exhaling clouds

I feel the cold rain
Remnants of snow lingering
Shall

Under the cold sun
The welcomed sunlight warms me
Amidst bitter cold
As they reach downwards
Gravity’s and cold’s teamwork
Strange tranquility

I sit in the darkness
Free from fear’s anguished grasping
Earth covered in snow
Seattle’s first significant snow event this winter has disrupted our lives solidly. I miss the days i could walk to work, even in the snow. The roads have been quite treacherous. So, I’ve avoided them. Today, though, I really need to make my way into the office. It’ll be fun ,I’m sure.
