Tonight’s Haiku: About Spring Rain

as dreams are emptied

once the spring rain has fallen

see the refreshed sun

Day Two: NaPoWriMo

dawn’s light absent

darkness on cherry blossoms

when shall I make tea?

I appreciate every motivation to write. NaPoWriMo’s goal of a poem a day fits what I’m trying to do with this blog. I hope you enjoy!

Today’s #Haiku, #Spring Arrives Amidst #Covid19

though we sit indoors

birds’ harmonies reach my ear

spring has still arrived

The seasons care not for the concerns of humanity. Spring arrives no matter our preparedness, nor our desires. Life continues its motion.

I hope this finds you healthy and safe. How are you adapting to our new life?

A Spring Haiku

a riot of blossoms

celebration of new life

soon fluttering down

I walk by this tree regularly. It’s been daily during the lockdown. Spring is fully on. The blossoms lovely, temporary. Perhaps that’s part of their; their impermanence. So very Zen of me, I guess.

Saturday Morning Haiku

wind chimes

early morning darkness

birds sing to my tea

Everyone else is asleep in my house. I’m very fond of these quiet moments. I hope all of you are safe and healthy.
