Standing by the shore
Summer’s glory is now here
Sunlight warms my soul
poetry, prose, and photography

Standing by the shore
Summer’s glory is now here
Sunlight warms my soul

Rain falls gracefully
Flowers forgot the sunlight
This moment passes

Honey bees feasting
Sunlight flowing from the sky
Such summer delights

My feet move in rhythm
The sun hidden by the firs
Summer’s not here yet

Love this reddened sky
The darkness bringing cool air
Summer’s antidote

Upon summer’s cusp
Each day the air gets warmer
Joyful, carefree hearts

Summer approaches
Spring time’s flowers are fading
The air is warmer
Sunlight has vanished
The summer night’s heat disturbs
My dream’s stay silent

The day’s heat lingers
Sunlight blocked by the mountains
Summer’s kind mercies
It was a warm one today. Especially by Seattle standards. Got some walking in, a little shopping, farmers market time, chatting friends…all things that build connection and community.
Now that it is night
With clouds vanquished far away
Summertime feels here
