Morning birds sparkle
Today, gently awakened
Songs greeting the dawn

This workweek begins
We see so much drudgery
Perception crafted

This contemplation
Upon the cusp, this new week
More preparation

The strangest of days
Servitude released, mostly,
Escape from life’s bonds

Glorious blackness
Trickling cup-wards; Ah, life!
