A Thanksgiving Haiku

A Thanksgiving Haiku

friends and family
embracing gratitude
embracing joy

I hope your Thanksgiving was refreshing and filled with gratitude.

An Autumn Day

sunlight from the south
the graceful autumnal air
dances through the trees

It’s been a crazy few days. It felt good to write today.

Walking Through The Leaves

I walk through the leaves
feeling the wind in my hair
the jays cheer for sun

Amidst The Trees

amidst the trees
moving through the mist
rain starts to fall

Another rainy, autumn day near Seattle. I was able to get out from behind my desk for a little while, abruptly, when I noticed a dryish patch in the day. Yet again, I almost got home before the rain started to fall. Fortunately, I managed to avoid getting too wet. Fortunately.

Walking in the Rain

Moving through the leaves
As the rain begins to fall
These autumnal strolls

Though I got drenched, I did get a poem out of it.

A rainy Monday Morning

Rainy Monday morning haiku

Morning arrives
Sunlight ascending
Through autumn mists

An Autumn Sunday Morning

autumnal daylight
crisp, cool air awakens me
I reach for my tea

I woke to a lovely autumn morning. The rain holding off until a convenient time opens up possibilities. Yet, I expect to spend most of the day in front of a computer.

Porchlight Haiku

The light has faded
I see my breath by porch light
The song of raindrops

A cool, drearily rainy end to the day. Chilled into discomfort, but not pain, only the mildest of inconveniences. But December approaches quickly, even though we still have trees with leaves on them.

Adept: A Haiku

My response to today’s Fandango’s Word Of The Day Challenge. Today’s word: adept.

words flow from keystrokes
there are times I feel adept
