In the afternoon
A warm cup of tea helps me
Make it through the gloom
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.
It delights me so
To see the kids around me
Make better choices
A call to rise up
A flicker striking my roof
A moment of spring
“Mom” we celebrate
So many fill this mission
Thanks to each of them
Fear is dangerous
Pulling us into dark rage
And compassion lost
Sunlight’s going strong
Though the day is closing out
Still time to go bikev
Night flows into dawn
Dreams shift to reality
Such is our life’s path
The night is flowing
Unencumbered and boldly
Tomorrow’s approach
The day’s busyness
Finally able to sit
Now, to find quiet
Reflecting on change
How economics push us
Some times, push us down
