I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

the sun slips below
warm blazing orange blankets
when will the stars dance?

below the sunset
and the glorious red sky
soon the songbirds sleep
Moving through my neighborhood, a suburb of Seattle, as the sun does as it must. Gravity’s handiwork across this sky. Rain started to fall as I neared home.
