longing for sunlight

amid the dampness and cold

childhood memories

My childhood had some glorious moments in the tropics, when I lived in the Philippines. Dark, dreary drippy days sometimes bring forth a longing for those days.

Memories of Metal Shop 

Sitting

Tall stool 

Metsl tsble 

Vice gripping 

My victim 

Bending 

Shaving

Scraping

Demanding 

It fit into 

My will.

Resistance

Solid

We find

Detente,

This soul

Longing

For the

Trees
