Violence Displayed

They mesmerize us
Pictures of carnage, strife.
Cherry blossoms fall

Water gracefully
Gently wearing down mountains
Strength, freedom of force

Awesome company
Growing my dearest friendships
A delightful life

Air refreshed by rain
Petals fluttering downwards
No branches barren

Road dreams enticing
Calling me away from home
Footprints, only, left

Rage may be embraced
Attraction of false power
They miss life’s beauty

Cautious, quick motion
Winged gods demand offerings
Terror in my grass.

In the space between
Letters breathe intense fierceness
Slam into regrets

Invective and rage,
Today’s social currency.
Fire consuming all

Ground down from despair
Filled with negativity
Hating the word “fun”
