Challenger

Journeying skywards
Reaching far beyond the sky
Embraced by the stars

Sadness coming when
Our gentle hearts pushing far
Cannot return home

Strange duality
Each thing’s opposite tangled
Deeply into one.

This morning birdsong
So very loud, boisterous.
Visions of spring time

Wretched dreams drift
Pavement grinds against my mind.
Coldness burns my soul

Light drifting through trees
Dancing wildly through the leaves
Springtime calls my dreams

Fear erodes our mind;
Dragging beautiful reason
To raging madness

Honesty’s power
Comes upon the edge of risk
Mysteries laid bare

Sunlight trickles out
Color gracefully flowing
Each second, newness.

Glorious sunrise
Tranquillity’s brilliant
Spectacle renews.
