A Good Morning Haiku

songbirds chattering

a feature of my morning

crocuses waking

I hope your Tuesday brings you closer to your goals.

Through the Rainfall

through the rainfall
as it changes to snow
the birds now confused

Found this blossom during my walk the other day. More signs that spring is almost here. Yet today we had rain, wind, snow and hail. It was quite a day, weather – wise.

seeking signs of spring

renewed life begins to bud

with rain less bitter

On today’s walk I focused on searching for signs of spring. Not many yet, but I found these. I expect that the signs will grow via each passing day. C

Awoke to Birdsong

awoke to birdsong
slowly the sun rises
hinting at springtime

The birds were quite boisterous this morning. Looks like spring is nearly here. Though this hasn’t been that burial of a winter around here, I am ready for spring. Are you?

A Valentines Day Haiku

romances evolve

old man and woman hold hands

watching the sunset

I hope your Valentines Day is everything you hope for and need.

Signs of Spring

Snow upon the firs

upon this first snow
a group of robins gather
a first sign of spring

Though there was snow on the ground this morning, it was mostly gone by early afternoon. Then, during my afternoon walk, I saw a group of robins rummaging through the fallen leaves. Winter may be in place now, but spring cannot be stopped!
