Awakened by sound
Strange night noises alarming
Yet sleeps demands win
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

As darkness creeps down
Cool air brings tranquility
Sun sets earlier
It’s getting darker earlier now. Fall approaches, with it impending change. School reboots, air cools, night’s grow longer.

Serious sardines
Samba sanguinely, smoothly;
Solidly sarcastic
I’m just feeling a bit silly tonight. Good enough reason for some alliteration.
Independence fails
There’s so much more, please look to
Interdependence
Embracing my fear
Stepping into the unknown
So much I don’t know
I realized this morning how much I’ve struggled with my new job. I’m in a new industry and doing very different work. And i’s been a long time since I’ve stretched myself like this. It’s been fearful, but good. I need to push myself forward. It’s far too easy to settle into easy, no risk, safe work. I need to push through that fear and keep growing, stay alive and vibrant.
