Children now so tall
Just a few years left of school
Childhood’s ending
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

Children now so tall
Just a few years left of school
Childhood’s ending

Light flows through gas clouds
Moving through millenia
Stars birthed, then die

Oh diversity;
Respecting our different
Experiences
āSnooze bar seduction
No, not due to laziness
Rather, contentment
ā“Lost weight? Looking good!”
“Cancer will do that to you”.
Then awkward silence.
āI am pulled from sleep
Insecurities fight me
Destroy happiness
The sunburned stars Destroyed by the daylight Longing for night’s reprieve

This little market
Speaking to me of summer
Gentle memories
