Memories of Tomorrow

December 29, 2020 Carl SetzerLeave a comment

from moon and stars

memories of tomorrow

drifting between dreams

I love this image I found on Adobe Spark. Might be via Pexals, but when I’m on the app, it’s not at all clear. But it’s a very fun haiku.

Space Dance: A Haiku

August 16, 2020 Carl Setzer4 Comments

beyond the sky’s edge
light dances in the darkness
such graceful motion

The photo is from NASA’s Hubble telescope. I fell in love with all things space as a young boy watching the lunar landing. It seemed natural to pen this haiku as I looked upon this image.

Deep in outer space
Great power bending the light
As I gaze at rain

The Illusion of Distance

June 17, 2014 Carl SetzerLeave a comment

Distance sometimes
Seeks to play tricks
Upon our hearts.
The torment of
Separation a magnificent
Illusion. Love connects
Deeper than space/time.
We are no farther apart
Than our dreams.
